Unknown Transition - Myspace tracks reviewed
The band don't sound like any of their named influences, but instrumentally they're reminiscent of a down-tuned more-raw version of early-80's Siouxsie-meets-Sisters, whether they realise it or not. First Myspace track "Feed Me The Fire" isn't recorded at a sufficient enough quality to judge, sounds like someone recorded it from the back of the venue they played it at. Unfortunately quality of recording doesn't improve much with "Must Have Been Wrong", a low-fi punky speed-metal number. "Little Girl", another live track, sounds like "Feed Me The Fire" slowed down, punk-lite alternative. Final track "Another Place", again live, is a mess. Vocals drowned out by bad quality recording. It's not that we think Unknown Transition are bad, they've got the potential there quite clearly, but there's a distinct thought that they could do much better. The much-missed Fydolla Ho pulled off this sorta music far better, sorry guys.
