NICO'S ALCHEMY
LIVE @ The Grand, Clapham (London)
REVIEW BY MARCO AURELIO

Nico's Alchemy"...About to release a studio album (self produced) for (Dragon Records)Independent new heavy Rock Label. This Kent-based band are all full time musicians. ON STAGE at 10.30pm, 4th band on, (Headliners) in front of an audience of about 200 people. Nico's Alchemy opening was an outstanding uptempo guitar track, powerful and fast with excellent guitar passages, executed with incredible speed and accuracy.

After the first track Candido (Lead singer) got on stage and since the first note of the new song (which started with a terrific 5/4 drum tempo) we were already thinking, great band with a great singer. The sound was powerful and clean,  Dave Wire on drums was precise and energetic (reminded me of Ian Paice meets Travis Barker)  the Bass sound and technical ability of Mr. Stanner was just Brilliant! (Billy Sheena meets Steve Harris).

Nico's AlchemyThe 2nd track, "Fading Away": Very energetic and as Candido said the song has been written against the Politicians that have the power to blow us away over night... The 3rd track, "It's Enough", could be something between Rage against the Machine meets Malmsteen and Foo Fighters ... Every single track deserves to be mentioned, Miss Sensation , Kill The Messenger , Love And Despair , No Time For Sadness, and the scariest version of ( Deep Purple's ) Highway Star that I've ever heard!! This is the bit where Tamburella slides the guitar on stage going completely mad and all the guys in the band are going insane as well... Fucking chaos... Great!

nico's alchemyNico's Alchemy was on stage for a one hour set and I was very impressed by the way the audience welcomed and cheered the band back for two more songs. It was very nice to see a Heavy Rock band getting all the attention for once! Thank God the times are changing. If you like great heavy songs and outstanding Guitar work then you won't be disappointed. Look out for the new Album "Perpetual Burn" somewhere after Christmas it's going to be a killer. Go and see them live! You deserve it and you know it make sense! 5/5."
