THE NEWS ON THE NOISE RIGHT NOW, RIGHT HERE:
JULIETTE AND THE LICKS NO MORE! *HOWL!!!!* One of NMCom's fave bands of the new rock era, Juliette And The Licks, have gone their separate ways it was announced today. According to Juliette's Myspace, "It's been too long and u and I have so much to say... The (mighty and lovely) Licks are no more. It is the end of our run... For now. You can find out what everyone is up to on their various sites and show them your love and support. As for me I have some exciting things in store for those who still want to follow me into the wild! It's a new sound. A new band. A new record. It's a new year. I have been working with a secret producer and a secret band on a secret project that is soon to become un-secret". You can read the full blog post at Juliette's Myspace. Stop by and show her and the former Licks some love. The new project, according to the poster-shot on Myspace, is "Juliette And The New Romantiques". While we're sorry to see the parting of the ways for the brilliant Juliette and the lads in The Licks, we'll be following their adventures into the next level right here, count on it. Juliette Lewis is not only one of our fave actresses, but she's proven herself to be amongst the best showstoppers (I hesitate to say "showman") in rock history already, well on her way to becoming THE best. Good luck to 'em all for the future.
EYELASH have announced tour dates for Feb, March and April, and the debut album is out 13th February! You can check our earlier Eyelash review in the NM reviews archives.

LIZETTE& have unleashed a stunning cover of Head Like A Hole by the legendary NIN - check it out on their Myspace and Official Site now! Got this playing looooooud right now, teaching the neighborhood what good music sounds like (not that christmassy shite they've been playing next door!). Awesome work! We WILL be reviewing Lizette's album soon. Stay tooned. If you go to the official Myspace, play everything on it (loud!) and experience one of NMCom's fave bands of 2008.
NM is a non-profit site and takes no fees, payments or bribes from promoters or bands. What you get from us is pure unadulterated honest viewpoint, no pissing about, no backside-kissing and no BS. We just tell it like it is.
We're in need of some quality T-shirts printed with our NM logo at preferably-inexpensive prices. Any suggestions? Mail us with some info at submissions(at)NoiseMatters.com with the subject line TSHIRTS!
We don't promise to review every band that submits info to us, we can't - if we had a machine to clone more personnel then perhaps we could. For that reason, we do tend to review the best acts amongst those submitted, and that's why you'll only rarely see low-rated reviews here on NoiseMatters.com, although if something's so bad that we just can't help but point and laugh then we'll share that with you too!
Lastly, NM takes no responsibility for any damage to your undergarments caused by our custom error page if your speakers happen to be turned on at the time. ;).
